Genesis is recalling 31,440 vehicles because a fuel pump can fail, leading to a loss of drive power.

Genesis tells the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) that a small fan-like impeller in the fuel pumps can lose its shape slightly in hot weather. Once deformed, it can snag against its housing and stop spinning, cutting off fuel flow to the engine.

Dealers will fix the problem by inspecting the fuel pump and replacing it if necessary. Recall repairs are always free.
