No rest for the wicked. Supercar manufacturers have to continuously up the ante. After improving America’s most exotic car, Chevrolet Corvette Stingray engineers can’t catch their breath before we expect them to top it.
Did you build a 670-horsepower version of your fastest car, with a flat-plane-crank V8 and a 0-to-60 time of 2.6 seconds? That’s so 2023. Did you top it a year later with an all-wheel drive (AWD) hybrid version that was even quicker?
The year 2025 is almost here, and we need more.
Chevrolet will introduce an all-new ultra-high-performance Corvette for 2025. Built to supersede even the mighty Z06 and the top-of-the-line E-Ray, it will apparently wear the ZR1 moniker. Chevrolet teased the model today with a brief video on YouTube.
It shows nothing but smoke taking on the silhouette of a Stingray. But we hear a big clue in the soundtrack — what seems to be forced induction.
