Certified by Polestar
Polestar, the all-electric Volvo offshoot brand, has only sold cars in the U.S. for a few years. Though the company has announced and revealed future electric vehicles, the only used Polestar models available are the Polestar 1 plug-in hybrid luxury sedan and the Polestar 2 electric fastback 4-door. All Certified by Polestar models undergo a thorough inspection and service by Polestar technicians before going up for sale.
Polestar doesn’t have a traditional dealer network. The company operates primarily online and has service and experience centers called “Polestar Spaces” in about 15 U.S. states.
New Polestar vehicles come with a 4-year/50,000-mile limited warranty, an 8-year/100,000-mile battery warranty, and a 12-year corrosion warranty, all transferrable (with certain limitations). The Certified by Polestar warranty extends the new limited warranty by two years and unlimited miles, and is transferrable. The warranty includes roadside assistance. Polestar-trained technicians at authorized service centers perform any necessary repairs under warranty using original Polestar parts. Repair service includes free pickup and delivery to and from authorized service centers. Polestar performs free comprehensive factory maintenance on its vehicles during the warranty term.
Buyers can execute a used car transaction online or may choose to visit a Polestar Space. The company has a financing arm that can arrange term payments for qualified buyers. Each Certified by Polestar vehicle comes with a Carfax history report and buyback guarantee. Used Polestar models get a 3-month free trial from SiriusXM.
